Kelly Thompson, LLP.

Ms. Thompson became a Licensed Legal Paraprofessional (LLP) in January of 2025. Throughout her 35-year tenure as a paralegal, Ms. Thompson has had the privilege of working on a diverse range of domestic relations cases. This breadth of experience has provided her with a deep understanding of the complexities involved in family law, as well as the emotional weight that accompanies the legal proceedings. Ms. Thompson has always been passionate about helping clients navigate the intricacies of the legal system, and as an LLP, she is now able to extend her assistance in a more impactful way.
As an LLP, the scope of Ms. Thompson’s work is limited to various family law matters including divorce and legal separation, establishment and modification of child support orders, allocation of parental responsibility matters, name changes, protection orders, and remedial contempt of court proceedings.
In her capacity as LLP, Ms. Thompson may enter her appearance and file pleadings and other documents in a court proceeding. She is also able to speak in court, explain her client’s position, and tender stipulated exhibits. However, LLPs are not permitted to examine or cross-examine witnesses. LLPs likewise cannot handle hearings when a court has determined that an expert report or testimony is required to value an asset or determine income due to the inherent complexity of the asset or income at issue. Polidori, Franklin, Monahan & Beattie, LLC is pleased to offer Ms. Thompson’s expertise as an option for clients who do not wish to hire an attorney, but seek limited representation and guidance.
Ms. Thompson is committed to being an advocate for her clients, ensuring that they have the resources and knowledge necessary to make informed decisions about their futures. Her goal is to ensure that her clients feel supported and understood every step of the way.
Beyond her professional endeavors, you can often find Ms. Thompson spending time with family, paddle boarding, hiking or traveling to new places.
Ms. Thompson is a member of the Colorado Bar Association, Family Law Section and the Rocky Mountain Paralegal Association.
