Robin Beattie and Hannah Westmont co-chaired the Colorado Bar Association’s 2020 Family Law Fall Update. The full-day program provided Colorado’s family law attorneys with updates on the law, an ethics segment, and a panel discussion featuring Colorado family law judges and magistrates, which was moderated by Robin Beattie and Hannah Westmont. The program also featured issues that are often exacerbated by the current pandemic, such as variations in or interruptions to income, substance use and mental health.

The Family Law Section is an organization of over eleven hundred lawyers committed to improving the practice of family law in the State of Colorado. The Section provides a forum for the education of attorneys, judges, elected officials, and members of the general public.
Polidori Franklin Monahan & Beattie, LLC is pleased to announce that Natalie Simpson has joined the firm as an Attorney. Ms. Simpson’s practice will focus exclusively on family law. Ms. Simpson comes to the firm with over a decade of family law experience.
Ms. Simpson has been listed as a Rising Star in the 2016 through 2019 publication of Super Lawyers Magazine. She also holds an Avvo “Superb” rating by the online lawyer directory and is recognized in family law by Best Lawyers in America.
Ms. Simpson handles complex domestic relations matters including high-conflict custody cases and complex financial disputes. She approaches each case with an eye towards resolution in order to help her clients navigate the difficult emotional complexities they face in their litigation matters.
Robin Beattie and Hannah Westmont gave a continuing legal education presentation on the topic of enforcing separation agreements and parenting plans at the Jefferson County Courthouse on December 10, 2019 alongside Magistrate Fitzgerald and Magistrate Moultrie. This lunch-time program provided Jefferson and Gilpin County family law attorneys with information on how to enforce an order without filing a contempt action.

Robin Beattie of Polidori, Franklin, Monahan & Beattie, LLC attended the 56th Annual Conference of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts in Toronto, Canada from May 29 – June 1. This year’s theme was “The Future of Family Justice: International Innovations.” Presenters came from Canada, Australia, England, Spain, Scotland, Ireland, Italy, Germany, New Zealand, South Africa, Israel, and the United States to discuss new family law programs and processes that are helping twenty-first century families around the world.
Hannah Jannicelli Westmont, Partner at Polidori, Franklin, Monahan & Beattie, LLC served as a program faculty member at the Annual Family Law Evidence Practicum on May 24, 2019. The Family Law Evidence Practicum is a one-day program which provides a hands-on training in evidentiary techniques for attorneys representing Coloradans in their family law cases. Ms. Westmont was one of several experienced domestic relations attorneys and Judges who provided the participants with advice and tips on key evidentiary techniques for the courtroom.
